Welcome to New Hope Baptist Church!

We want to take this opportunity to invite you to visit with us.  If you are looking for a church home, we would like for you to prayerfully consider New Hope.  It is important that you be in church on a regular basis somewhere, and the New Hope family would love for you to be with us.

As a Southern Baptist Church, we believe in the work of missionaries both at home and abroad.  We are commissioned to serve and share Christ throughout the world by giving of the resources God has so blessed us with through the Bartow Baptist Association, the Georgia Baptist and Southern Baptist Conventions.

We are praying for God's presence to make himself known to all that enter our doors. We want Jesus as our Savior and our Lord.

We are Seeking the Presence of God!

Plan of Salvation

Problem:  I have a sin nature, a very serious need.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”
- Romans 3:23

Penalty:  Understand that through God’s love, Jesus Christ died on the cross to meet this need.  He paid my sin debt.
“The wages of sin is death....” “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were sinners Christ dies for us.
- Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
- John 3:16

Provision:  By faith, I confess, believe and ask God to save me.  He PROMISES salvation in this simple way:

“That if you shall confess with you mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” - Romans 10:9

Prayer: In order to receive the promise of eternal life and accept this gift I must PRAY and ask the Lord to save me.

“For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  - Roman 10:13

Now that you have prayed and asked Jesus to come into your heart, then come to church and tell everyone that you are saved and want to be baptized.

An individual may join our fellowship by:

  • Confession of salvation and be baptized by immersion
  • Transfer of letter from another church of like belief
  • By statement of one’s previous baptism in another church of like belief.

People joining from a church of another denomination are requested to join by baptism, or by statement if they have at one time belonged to a church of like belief

Sanctuary

Our ministries range from preschoolers to senior adults.  A nursery is provided during our worship services.

Music Ministry
Our adult sanctuary choir exalts the name of the Lord through a blend of music presentations - traditional, Southern Gospel, Brooklyn Tabernacle, to name a few.  Our music ministry is led by Randy Henson, Nancy Henson and their daughter Ashleigh Henderson.  Randy and Nancy have served the Lord in music ministry for over 30 years volunteering their gifts of music.

Women's Ministry
We also have a very active women’s ministry.  The ladies have a monthly book club and special Bible studies with banquets and teas.

Youth Ministry
We provide interactive Bible studies (6:30 p.m.) on Wednesdays at The Potter's House, our Youth Center, in addition to in-depth Youth Bible Studies during Sunday School. Students experience hands-on missions and ministry opportunities, creative worship and other fun activities.

New Hope Baptist Church has a rich heritage.  Although no records were kept at that time, oral history points to the belief that an early church facility was built in the late 1700’s.  The most commonly accepted date of the church being constituted was in the early 1850’s.  We annually have special Homecoming services, Vacation Bible School, Revivals, special song services and a community Christmas Eve service.

Our present sanctuary was renovated in 2005.  Beneath our sanctuary is our nursery and children’s Sunday school classrooms.  The Potter’s House is a home the church purchased for various ministries.  New Hope’s youth and church library are housed there.  We are excited about A VISION for the future with an additional facility between the fellowship hall and Potter’s House.
